Welcome to ‘Mode-Classic’, which is a fresh new couture collection with conceptual ideas that has been designed by the two brilliant students namely Trisha Poorani, N., and Kowsalya, S of the JD Institute of Fashion Technology Bangalore, who are pursuing the Diploma in Fashion Design. This collection tries to imagine what fashion would be like if Google and Apple had a love child, and this child is now a line of garments. The term’mode’-classic’ is coined from the so-called theoretical synergy between Google and Apple operating under the fashion domain. It extrapolates to a future where Apple, Microsoft, and these other big tech companies collaborate with Indian artisans and handloom weavers to design a line of items that include both sophisticated technological ingenuity and traditional craft. Every piece narrates a tale of creativity and fashion, which encapsulates Apple’s timeless luxury and Google’s lively attitude. Besides, the collection illustrates the aesthetic of togetherness and responsible fashion with respect to cultural and environmental concerns for heritage craft techniques in contemporary fashion.

The meaning of ‘Mode-Classic’ evolved out of the thought process that goes with bringing novelty into the domain of clothing. Think clothing that forms part of our cybersphere, accentuated with Google technologies and Apple sleekness. This union produces not only clothes with aesthetic appeal but also clothes that help a person in his or her daily activities with real-time data and style. It is something like the spirit of creativity and the idea flowing beyond traditions to renew and influence the future of fashion.

In line with the theme relevant to technology and tradition, I held the doll strategically. The collection uses humane fabrics like cotton satin, and through intricate Zardozi embroidery, recycled silk yarns are used. The used material and technique are not only to establish and emphasize the luxuriousness of couture but also to concern environmental responsibility and support Indian craftsmanship. The hue of ‘Mode-Classic’ is a bright series of colors like reds, blues, pinks, olive greens, and white. These colors are chosen to relate to Google’s diagrammatic colors and Apple’s standard hues, thus satisfying all sorts of human perceptiveness.

Every piece in the collection is designed and made with finesse, and contemporary taste is married to the ethnic artistry and patterns of India. People are welcome to get dressed for the future when fashion and environmentally friendly clothing unite into synergy, dressing the body with not only brilliant initiatives but also with some story. In the future, ‘Mode-Classic’ seems to occupy the leading position in the further development of the concept of fashion, allowing the world to become more interwoven and closer.
