The “Express Verse” collection features ten ensembles that combine streetwear and speculative fiction. In a society where robots predominately provide emotional support, each piece of art tells a tale of resistance to AI supremacy and the struggle for genuine human connections. Through bold colours and innovative textures like denim, distressed denim, and various fabric blends, the collection captures the raw emotions of individuals reclaiming their autonomy.

The designers emphasise the value of human connection in response to the negative effects of AI on mental health and societal ties. In this imagined future, people express their yearning for genuine relationships through their clothing choices, using fashion as a tool for self-expression and resistance. The vivid hues of sulphur yellow, racing red, prism violet, and other vibrant colours symbolise the spectrum of emotions and the desire to break free from AI’s emotional constraints.

In keeping with the theme, “Express Verse” highlights the dangers of artificial intelligence manipulating human emotions and behaviour. The collection presents a society where artificial intelligence dominates social conventions, highlighting its consequences for mental health and personal freedom. As people become aware of the alienation that AI causes, they rebel against its hegemony and call for the return of genuine human interaction. Fabrics like single jersey, rib, interlock, and fleece provide the comfort and functionality essential to streetwear, while textures like waffle, twill, and mesh add depth and visual interest to any outfit. This combination of fabric choices reinforces the collection’s narrative, reflecting both the grittiness of street culture and the sophistication of futuristic rebellion.

Express Verse by Jeevapragathi J., Pooja L. and Saloni Nishad combines fashion and social criticism. It is aimed at a generation that values authenticity and human connection in the midst of technological advancement. This streetwear collection not only disrupts the status quo but also encourages wearers to boldly express their identity. Express Verse, a clothing line for upscale men and women ages 18–25, is more than just clothes; it is an expression of determination and defiance in a world where artificial intelligence is taking on more and more tasks.
