String Theory, a luxury collection designed by Abhiroop Kaur and Nitta T S, students of Diploma in Fashion Design March 2022 from JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bengaluru for JD Design Awards 2023. The work paid tribute to Puppetry – an art of storytelling.

Since time immemorial, human beings have used puppetry as a window to their creative yearnings. Histories of many countries like India, reveal an enduring love of puppets and the learnings behind their stories. The appeal of fantasy is universal for all, stimulating the ability to think deeply. The human psyche needs to be nourished with the freedom to question. Many thinkers believe that imagination is the source of answers to individual/community/global problems.

Through the collection, the young designers want to revive the lost learnings behind the craft and emphasis the importance of creative thinking and expressiveness.
