The Recall, a collection by Lokesh R, Harshitha Vinnakota and Veena Ankilla, students of Diploma in Fashion Design June 2022 at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bengaluru at JD Design Awards 2023 paid tribute to Cartoons.

Cartoons have a nostalgic feeling and often bring back fond memories from childhood. They can trigger emotions and feelings of happiness, comfort, and security. This emotional connection can be incredibly powerful and help people feel connected to their past and to their inner child and have an enduring appeal that can last for generations.

The goal was to design a cartoon themed experimental unisex streetwear collection for autumn/winter, featuring popular cartoon characters, Mr. Bean, Doraemon, and Tom & Jerry. The collection targets young adults and teens, who are fans of these classic cartoons and interested in unique, playful, and stylish fashion, and want to express their love towards cartoon. The garments feature oversized silhouettes to create a modern and edgy look which are suitable for all genders. The aim was to provide a new twist to classic streetwear styles and bring a fun and playful energy to the collection.
