Mirha, is a collection designed by Syeda Meraj Aalam, a student of Diploma in Fine Jewellery Design August 2022 at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bengaluru for JD Design Awards 2023. The term Mirha signifies ‘light’ in Arabic. Her work draws inspiration from the romantic, grand, and aesthetic designs of the Victorian era. Precious stones including diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, pearls, and many more were utilised in designs from the era, which included numerous curves and intricate cut-work.
