The spirit of Halloween is catching up in India and bringing in the fervor of the spookiness of the occasion was JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Cochin which was decorated to it’s scariest best on
31^st October 2019.

Despite a rainy day, the students did not let it dampen their spirits and were dressed in scariest make-up and the premises were decked to match the occasion. Black and red were the dominant colours giving the place an air of scary candour. The students ditched their regular college look for a scary fest. The institute was filled with witches, Joker, Darth Maul, Nun, Mavis to Harlequin alongwith Ghost faces.  Joining in the enthusiasm alongwith the students, were the faculties who enjoyed with equal fervor. Making the occasion more interesting was a 3D face painting competition, which was held for the students and the results were some amazing scary face paintings that had the spooky element.

Celebrating global festivals helps to encourage students to appreciate different cultures and makes them aware. The attention to detail in the costumes and make-up was a testimonial to the students’ sharp wit. The Halloween experience was an enjoyable day and proved to be a perfect opportunity for the students to break away from their routine and let their creativity run wild.
