Stylish, Comfortable and Fun. Every parent aims to hit all three of these qualities when it comes to designing a space for their little one. The kids’ area is a place where they can play and learn together. When designing a room or a play area, it should be made sure that space is aesthetic as well as functional too. The playroom should have an energetic vibe. It should be provided with bright colours and a lot of lights. It should also reflect the child’s interests so that it grows with time.

When designing a space, the area must have a theme so that it doesn’t cluster with a kid’s mind. It should be chosen to keep the child’s interest in mind. Being an Interior Designer one should create different activity areas in a room instead of mixing all the areas together in one zone. There should be enough provision for storage. Children should be encouraged to read books. The bookshelves can be designed in the coordination of colors so that it interests them. Books can also be arranged one one side according to a color, soft toys and games should be kept in different corners for the entertainment.

The furniture should be safe and kid-friendly. The table and chair should be resilient, durable and comfortable and of appropriate height. Bean bags are the best option to go with. And soft carpet should be provided. It will be better if the flooring is also designed for them. Epoxy flooring or rubber flooring are good choices to work with. As they are softer than other types of flooring they should be provided in the play area. They come in different colors and are easy to maintain.

No play area should be bland, one must bring colors with accessories and patterns through textiles. Rugs, carpets, wall art, lighting enhance the look of the play area. You can create a focal point through wall art. Wall decals add visual interest. They are held to the wall without using adhesive. So it’s easy to swap out or take off according to change in tastes. Or a wallpaper or even a painting a mural is a good idea.
